An investigative panel headed by Mr Salami, a retired federal judge has recommended that the Buhari Administration should terminate the appointment of Mr Magu, a commissioner of police, as the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
The panel, which submitted its report to President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday, also asked the president to appoint the new EFCC chairman in an interim position for two years.
Mr Salami and his co-panellists also advised President Buhari to select the new chairperson from outside the police.
