Fidelity Bank Plc was named the ‘Outstanding SME Supporting Bank of the Year’ at Marketing Edge’s Marketing and Advertising Award for Excellence, held at the D’Podium International Centre in Lagos.
Marketing Edge said Fidelity Bank was nominated in the category after a review and assessment of its intervention and provision of long-term financing support to MSMEs across Nigeria.
Receiving the award on behalf of the bank, Divisional Head, Brand and Communications, Charles Aigbe thanked the management of Marketing Edge for the recognition. “Our long-running support for the growth and development of small businesses in Nigeria stems from our recognition of SMEs as critical agents of economic development and transformation in Nigeria and the world at large,” said Mr Aigbe.
He said Fidelity Bank had developed a strong multi-faceted SME banking platform, driven by its tailored, low-cost banking products and cluster-focused advisory services.
Mr Aigbe was also named the Outstanding Corporate Communications Personality of the Year in recognition of his contributions to the growth, development and continuing evolution of the Nigerian marketing and brand management sector.
Marketing Edge, one of Nigeria’s leading media-focused publications, also acknowledged Fidelity Bank’s contributions to to the integrated marketing communications industry.
