Chadwick Boseman, the star of the blockbuster film Black Panther, has died from colon cancer, according to a statement from his publicist. He was 43.
Mr Boseman, who wowed audiences with his portrayal of the masked superhero in several films in the Marvel cinematic universe, had not publicly disclosed that he was battling cancer and had continued to work on several film projects including a planned Black Panther sequel planned for 2022.
According to his publicist, Mr Boseman’s cancer was first diagnosed in 2016 and he died at his home with his wife and family by his side.
