Godwin Obaseki, the governor of Edo state formally joined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) today. Mr Obaseki resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC) after being schemed out of the party by his Mr Adams Oshiomhole, the National Chairman of the APC. Mr Oshomhole has been in a long-drawn battle with his Godwin Obaseki, who succeeded him as governor.
Godwin Obaseki recently resigned from the APC although the party said they had no record of his resignation. Mr Obaseki led his supporters to the PDP’s party headquarters along First East Circular Road. Mr Obaseki was received by State Chairman of the PDP Tony Aziegbemi.
