The All Progressives Congress appears set for another crisis after an Abuja judge ordered the party to reinstate Victor Gaidom as the party’s acting chairman. Justice Bature, of the Federal Capital Territory High Court ruled that Mr Giadom should lead the party for the next two weeks.
The Federal High Court also ordered the All Progressives’ Congress to immediately appoint the party’s National Vice Chairman (North East) Mustapha Salihu to act as Acting National Secretary pending the convening of a National Executive Committee meeting of the APC.
Justice Bature ordered the APC to ensure that Mr Giadom is given free rein to act as the party’s chairman. The court extended the order after listening to the arguments of Giadom’s lawyer Mr Wale Afolabi.
